Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
just had this little number. Last Tuesday to be exact and today had the stents out - an extraordinary sensation to be able to breathe freely.
Of course aftet eh morpine wear off, it's unpleasant - mostly like a bad head cold, stuufy nose and the fact you can't blow it until after the stents have been removed a week after the operation.
It's a work in progress; still a little pain and discomfort, but I am quietly confident my outlook on life will improve with the nosec.

Sydney trip

Just back from a few days in Sydney. It's been 30 years since I'd been there and the place is obviously far more hectic than I recall. Saw many of the major sites. The highlight was the Chinese Gardens, a sea of tranquility in this hectic metropolis. All good apart from the rude taxi drivers ( although one can't generalise; I'm sure there are many thoughtful ones we didn't encounter). The bus drivers were excellent. The in-laws had an enjoyable time and got to see a little more of Oz apart from our local area.
For me, North Stradbroke Island remains my favourite place - I can do without cities and all the stress they inevitably engender in me.
